For thirty-six years, thousands of Michigan runners, walkers and kids have enjoyed the Mackinac Island Eight Mile Road Race every September.

The host St. Ignace Kiwanis Club not only help out at the aid stations, but they also use race proceeds to promote the sport of running. In recent years, the St. Ignace Kiwanis have built a new high school track and supplied uniforms for the high school track teams.
