__/ GRAND RAPIDS MARATHON, SUNDAY, OCTOBER 22 - In only its
third year, the Grand Rapids Marathon has a reputation as a runner-
friendly small marathon. You can still register for either the marathon or
half-marathon. To date, 738 have registered for the marathon and 534
are registered for the half-marathon.

BALANCE HALF MARATHON SCHEDULE - Registration for the 29th
running of the classic Detroit, Windsor race will be available at the
Health and Fitness Expo for the marathon and 5K. Registration for the
half-marathon and relay is closed.

__/ MICHIGAN RUNNER TV - PORTAGE INVITATIONAL - Watch four
races develop from October 7th's Portage Invitational. We begin with
Division I and 2 Boys and Girls. Division 3 and 4 Boys and Girls and the
Open Race will follow. In addition to the starts and finishes of each race,
you can see almost all of the
individual runners as they come up a hill just after Mile 1.

FALLSVIEW CASINO RESORT INTERNATIONAL MARATHON -
Several shows are underway; we begin with the Running Room
International Friendship Run and the Marathon's Pre-Race Party where
you can catch Scott Sullivan's interview with Norm Frank and Don
McNelly. Frank, 75, has run 928 marathons and McNelly, 85, has run
710 marathons. Race director Jim Ralston presented Frank and McNelly
the event's Rainbow Award. Later shows will include interviews with
several athletes, including Tatyana Pozdnyakova, top master at the Crim
this year and Dane Rauschenberg, who completed marathon #42 in 42
weeks. Rauschenberg set a sub 3:00 PR in this 42nd marathon and is
attempting to complete 52 marathons in 52 weeks.

organized individual to assist in the implementation of our events and
retail advertising.
As the full-time Event & Marketing Coordinator, your duties and
responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Plan and coordinate special events like the Martian Marathon & Half
Marathon, Dances With Dirt, Trail Marathon & Half Marathon and many
others.
Implement advertising plan.
Position will work out of the headquarters in Ann Arbor Monday thru
Friday.
Local travel, some evenings and weekends are required.
Candidate must have reliable transportation
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be detail oriented and highly organized.
Ability to multitask and flexibility a must.
Previous experience with event planning a plus, but not required.
Design skills a plus, but not required.
Computer skills all Microsoft Office Applications including Word, Excel,
PowerPoint and Access. Proficiently with Adobe products such as
InDesign, and Photoshop a plus.
