Michigan Man Sets 7-Continent Marathon Mark
The third time was charmed for Don Kern’s bid to set a Guinness World Record for running marathons on all seven continents in the shortest time.

Michigan Runner of the Year 2008: Hank Risley
By Charles Douglas McEwen - Hank Risley, who began running just three years ago at age 37, considers himself a late bloomer when it comes to competitive sports.
“I never really played any sports in high school,” Risley said. “Back then, I never would have imagined that I would be running marathons and 50Ks.” (He has run about a dozen marathons and three 50Ks.)

Cold Weather Running Tips from the RRCA
The onset of winter needn't bring a seasonal halt to a runner's enthusiasm or routines. Outdoor exercise in the winter can be a pleasurable experience. The major risk posed by running in subfreezing air is frostbite and minor irritations to the respiratory tract. With some minor precautions these risks can be eliminated.
