HAMILTON, ONTARIO (March 26, 2006) - We begin our video coverage of North America's oldest road race with the 30K, the 30K start and the 5K. More than 1200 people participated in the 5K and another 5,600 took park in the 30K. In the coming days we'll be adding videos of the 30K walk, relays, Expo and Pasta Dinner, Hamilton and an interview with 5 time winner Gord Dickson.

The first Around the Bay took place in 1894, covering 19 miles 168 yards. Races were missed on a few dates during World War I and the Depression and one was cancelled due to road construction. The 30K has been run continuously since 1963 and has been a certified 30K distance since 1982. http://michiganrunner.tv/2006aroundthebay30K/
