The Rockford junior repeated her sophomore-year successes with Lower Peninsula Division 1 crowns in cross-country (17:43.6), 1600 meters (4:55.06) and 3200 meters (10:57.35), despite struggling with a stress fracture in her hip. Amber Smith wins the Runner of the Year nod based on her better showings at meets in which both competed: 2002 Foot Locker XC Regionals and Nationals. With hip fully healed this fall, look for Bohnsack to be a force.

The Wyoming Kelloggsville junior continued her reign in Division 3, winning her third straight titles in cross country (18:28.8) and at 3200 meters (10:57.18), as well as her second 1600 crown (4:58.48). Joins Smith and Bohnsack atop an incredible Class of 2004 for state distance-running girls.

Despite MR's distance-running focus, Davis, an Ann Arbor Pioneer senior hurdles and sprint star, is impossible to ignore.

The University of Southern California-bound star repeated as Division 1 state queen in the 100-meter hurdles (13.66) and was 60-meter hurdles champ at the Nike Indoor National Championships. Davis was also runnerup in the state 300 hurdles (43.10) and 100 dash (12.34).

The Grand Blanc senior showed his range with Lower Peninsula Division 1 state titles in cross country (15:18.85, the best time in all divisions) and 1600 meters (4:17.91). He is bound for Wake Forest University this fall.

Liam Boylan Pratt
The Bath junior followed the footsteps of his older brother, Will, claiming the Lower Peninsula Division 4 cross title (16:07.45). He added track state championships in the 800 (1:55.38) and 1600 (4:19.47).

As a Saline junior, Voss was Division 1 state champ at 3200 meters (9:08.53) and runnerup in cross country (a fast-closing 15:21.85).
