and the new course proved to be popular with runners. Events,
including a 10K run and a 5K run or walk, begin 9:30 am, at

-- PLYMOUTH FATHER'S DAY RUN,PLYMOUTH, SUNDAY, JUNE 17 -
Competitors who are looking for a new kind of challenge can
look to the Plymouth Father's Day run. Yes, there is a typcal
10K, 5K and a not-so-typical 1 Mile. The challenge is in the
timing; these races are set up so that you can run all three.
Times are totaled to name the winner of the Triple. You don't
have to win all three to win that Triple, but last year,
Monroe's Rebekah Smeltzer did the Triple by winning all three.
Kids races are part of the day. Proceeds from the race will
benefit the Plymouth YMCA's "Strong Kids" scholarship program
which insures no child is turned away from a YMCA program
because of inability to pay. Events begin at 7:30 am. The 10K
is part of the Michigan Runner Race Series.
