__/ ALPENFEST RUN, GAYLORD, JULY 21, 2007 - Gaylord is one of my favorite Michigan places to be. It's known as America's Summer Golf Mecca and the cross country skiing on the DNR trails could keep one out on the trails all day. Folks in Gaylord keep the outdoor activities going all year long, but running takes center stage during Gaylord's weeklong Alpenfest. The 12K and 5K run/walk begin at 8:30 am at the Pavillion on Court Street. A new one mile fun run takes runners along the parade route just prior to the parade. Don't let the flat Main Street fool you; the 12K takes you through rolling hills of the nearby countryside. Stick around for the parade at Noon and free music all afternoon. YouTube's impact has been profound-- over 100 million video clips are downloaded daily. By joining the YouTube family, GLSP and its channels (Michigan Runner TV, Michigan Travel TV, Michigan Skier TV and Michigan Travel TV) will expose its content to millions of viewers.

We began with a video featuring Alan Webb in the 4 x 800 meter relay at the adidas Outdoor Championships in 2001-- a few weeks after Webb's high school mile record.
