clinic, "Coaching the Best
performance from an Athlete." Jeff Campbell, Nick Cordes, Brian Sell
and Clint Verran
participated in a panel about the Hanson-Brooks Olympic Distance
Project.

Eastern Michigan distance coach John
Goodridge invites us to watch some outstanding athletes competing
Saturday at the Annual Eastern
Michigan University Invitational in historic Bowen Fieldhouse. (Exit
Washtenaw Avenue from
US23-entering campus turning left on Oakwood, right at second stop
sign). Athletes representing
sixteen colleges and clubs will be competing.
Boaz Cheboiywo who won two 10,000 meter NCAA National
Championships for EMU on the Track and in
Cross Country, now representing Nike will open his indoor season in
the 800 meters along
with Eddie Nehus (1:49) of the Indiana Invaders and EMU senior
Brandon Jiles (Detroit Mumford)
while EMU All-American's Jordan Desilets (Lake Orion) and Gavin
Thompson will highlight the
distance events. Field events begin at 11:00 a.m. with running events beginning at Noon
with a Distance Medley Relay. __/ PAUL MCMULLEN TO BE INDUCTED IN EASTERN MICHIGAN'S
ATHLETIC HALL OF FAME - Eastern Michigan's
Athletic Hall of Fame will induct Olympic miler Paul McMullen along with
six other athletes and coaches
in its 2003 class. Inductees will be honored before the Eastern
Michigan vs Northern Illinois men's
basketball game, Saturday, Februarty 28, before the 7:00 pm tipoff,
Convocation Center, Ypsilanti.
