__/ MRN ON THE ROAD - OTTAWA, ONTARIO - We had a
fabulous time on our
first visit to Ottawa. Canada's capital city hosts the Ottawa
Race
Weekend, which includes the MDS Nordion 10K and 5K on
Saturday and the ING
Ottawa Marathon, half-marathon, wheelchair and inline
events on Sunday.
We visited restaurants, museums (Canadian Museum of
Civilization,
Canadian War Museum), enjoyed the dramatic architecture
and walked the
scenic parkways along the Rideau Canal and the Ottawa
River. All were
within easy walking distance of our downtown hotel. Later
we stayed on the
campus of Carleton University which also happened to be
the site of the
expo. Michigan Runner TV and Running Canada TV will
feature a show on
the Ottawa Race Weekend later on this week.
