__/ QUOTE OF THE WEEK
"Four 5K runs on a dirt loop, each one followed by a 3-minute jog. I try to
run all four in 15:00, a bit faster than marathon goal pace. The workout
establishes a rhythm and keeps me at my lactate threshold, which are
both necessary to run the marathon well."
-- Ryan Shay, describing his key workout, reported by Bob Cooper,
Runner's World, July 2003, p. 84.
