The trials begin at 3:30 pm (PDT) today Friday, July 9, go through
Tuesday, July 13, take a 2 day break, then resume Thursday, July 15 an
d go through Sunday, July 18.
Live TV coverage of the trials will be shown on USA network both
Fridays from 11:00 p.m. - 1:00 a.m. NBC will have live coverage during t
he finals Saturday and Sunday, July 17 & 18. Michigan Runner photogr

MORNING RUN: ST. JOSEPH
The St. Joseph waterfront proved to be a wonderful spot for an early mo
rning run earlier this week. Among the sights are Silver Beach and the b
reakwater, historic Victorian architecture, the sculpture garden at the
Krasl Art Center, monuments galore, outdoor cafes open early, and the
famous Maids of the Mist fountain. Downtown St. Joseph also has lots of
interesting shops, free
parking, free trolley rides, free bicycles, and beach chairs, surf boards a
nd kayaks for rent.

of many coaches. The clinic is at Southwestern Michigan College in

the Original Road and Trail Race) and features a full day
of training, "learn by doing" sessions, Fun Fartlek drills, Motivation and
more fun and useful stuff. The clinic is intended for coaches and runners
