__/ TIM BROE QUALIFIES FOR 5000 METER FINAL OK. We're excited. Our friend, Ann Arbor resident, and University of Michigan volunteer coach, Tim Broe, qualified for the Olympic 5000 meter final with a 13:20. 29 in the faster second heat of today's semifinal. Broe was sixth in the heat, and was the first of five to qualify on time. Broe led at the 4000 meter split with a 10:52.69. We hope to see some of the race on NBC's late- night coverage: 12:30 am - 2:00 am.
