Crim Festival of Races Announces Elite Field
August 18, 2003
Flint, Michigan
Michigan Runner

Six-time defending 10 mile champion Catherine Ndereba will not be in Flint this year (she's running the marathon at the World Championships in Paris), but she found a way to take care of her many fans in Flint. Catherine's younger sister, Anastasia Ndereba, will compete with Crim veterans Gladys Asiba and Tatyana Pozdynakova. For the complete women's field, see http:// michiganrunner.net/news/ crim03elitewomen.html

John Korir heads a tough men's field; Korir is on a roll with wins this year at the Cherry Blossom, the Crescent City Classic, the Lilac Bloomsday and the Boilermaker. He'll have to hold off Crim course record holder Joseph Kamau and Crim newcomer Boaz Cheboiywo, who turned pro in June this year after NCAA Division I titles in cross-country and 10,000 meters. For the men's complete field see http:// michiganrunner.net/news/crim03elitemen.html .
