Tiffany Ofili Wins 60-Meter Hurdles at NYC's Millrose Games

NEW YORK, N.Y. (February 2, 2008) -- Junior co-captain Tiffany Ofili
(Ypsilanti, Mich./Ypsilanti) of the University of Michigan women's track
and field team took first place in the 60-meter hurdles college division
with a time of 8.13 seconds at the 101st Millrose Games Saturday (Feb.
2) at Madison Square Garden."It feels great," said Ofili. "I was honored and really happy with the win. It
gives me a good sense of confidence knowing I can compete under any
circumstances." The Millrose Games is the oldest invitational indoor track and field meet
in America. The meet began in 1908 at a local New York City armory the
same year its parent, the Millrose Athletic Association, was formed as a
recreational club by the employees of the John Wanamaker Department
Store.
